Los Angeles bicycle collision lawyer Jim Pocrass was again named to list of The Best Lawyers in America© for 2019 for his work in personal injury litigation. First selected to the list in 2012, this makes Jim Pocrass’s seventh year on the prestigious list.
“What makes this award particularly meaningful to me is that the recognition is based entirely on peer review by other personal injury attorneys in the Los Angeles area,” says Pocrass. “I’m truly honored to be part of something that includes some of the top personal injury lawyers in the region.”
For more than 29 years Jim Pocrass has represented people who have suffered serious personal injuries — and families who lost a loved one to a wrongful death — because of the carelessness or negligence of another.
A long-time recreational cyclist, Jim Pocrass became a bike activist after he settled a hit-and-run bike collision for more than $3 million. The driver was found thanks to an alert witness to the bike crash. When she was found she claimed she didn’t know she’d hit anyone, in spite of the cyclist leaving 9 teeth in the back of her SUV.
Jim is vice president of the Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition (LACBC), and on the board of directors of Eastside Riders Bike Club. The support of Pocrass & De Los Reyes is seen across Los Angeles and Orange County in the form of sponsorships of events, bike rides, educational classes, bike law classes, and educational collateral materials.
Pocrass also writes blog posts on bike law for a variety of blogs, including BikinginLA, Santa Monica Next, and Longbeachize. The Pocrass & De Los Reyes Bike Law page on Facebook is a go-to resource for the cycling community. In these various forums, Jim Pocrass attempts to answer questions cyclists have about Bike Law. He also makes himself available by email and phone (310-550-9050), to answer questions cyclists might have about Bike Law.
Questions and case evaluations are always free and are offered with no-obligation. When you choose Pocrass & De Los Reyes to represent you in a personal injury lawsuit, you pay nothing until your case is resolved.

Thank you for your kind comments. As attorneys, we would never ask anyone to donate to us. But if you’d like to support bicycle advocacy, feel free to make a donation to the Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition. It is doing wonderful advocacy and safety work, and I’m proud to be board member of this nonprofit organization.
